Up for your consideration is a set of four reproduction WW2-era .30 Caliber 20 round ammunition cartons from the DENVER ORDNANCE PLANT, which includes one  M2 BALL carton, one M2 ARMOR PIERCING carton, one M1 TRACER carton, and one M1 INCENDIARY carton.
The .30-06 cartridge, first developed in 1906, was the official U.S. rifle and light machine gun cartridge in both World Wars and Korea. Total small arms ammunition production from 1940-1945 exceeded 41.7 billion rounds, and of that total the Caliber .30 round accounted for 25 billion rounds in all loadings (ball, armor-piercing, tracer, and incendiary). During the 1930s Frankford Arsenal was the only plant in the U.S. producing military small arms ammunition. In 1940, with war under way in Europe, sites were selected for the first 3 government-owned, contractor-operated small arms ammunition plants, one of which was in Denver, Colorado. The Denver Ordnance Plant was providing finished rounds by October 1941, and was the only facility in the country that produced caliber .30 ammunition exclusively. The plant's production included ball, armor piercing, tracer, and incendiary cartridges, and when production ended there in July 1944, Denver had produced over 4.5 billion rounds in all loadings.
Each "Buy It Now" single purchase is for 4 unassembled cartons with dividers and 4 different Denver Ordnance Plant labels - one M2 Ball, one M2 Armor Piercing, one M1 Tracer, and one M1 Incendiary. The hand-stamped lot numbers match my originals, or if you prefer, I can duplicate a lot number of a spam can, crate or original carton that you may have.  The cartons, dividers, and labels will be shipped flat, with assembly instructions, and the shipping is free within the U.S. I had a lot of these made, so if you want additional sets of a specific label, they can be found by clicking on the "See other items" link located just below my seller info. at the top of this listing. Additional display sets can be purchased by increasing your quantity before you click the "Buy It Now" button. I can also substitute different labels for the Ball, A.P., Tracer, and Incendiary cartons if desired. Just include a note during checkout or send me a message.
