3 INCH ANTIQUE SILVER (ENLISTED) "BROTHERS OF THE PHIN" SUBMARINE INSIGNIA / BADGE
.
The badge measures approximately 3" x 1.40".  It has the submarine dolphins worn by U.S. Navy Submariners, a skull with crossed sabers, a globe with a submarine contained within & "BROTHERS OF THE PHIN" around the globe.  This badge represents the camaraderie felt by Submariners around the world.  No matter what the ideals of and actions that are taken by their Governments. Submariners all go through the same qualification processes & efforts of learning to operate the sub under all situations.  They all have the same dangers operating their respective submarines under the worlds oceans.   There are many of my brothers that didn't return to port.  In peace and in war.  If one man makes a mistake, the whole submarine would feel the negative result of that mistake.  It represents a BROTHERHOOD.  WE ARE ALL BROTHERS OF THE PHIN!  It is SOLID BACK with the Hallmark "VANGUARD" on the back.   The same company that makes the majority of U.S. Military badges & insignia.  It has two clutch post pins for attachment on the back.  I combined multiple designs to make this badge.
