WWII Airborne Rigger M-1936 Suspender Shoulder Pads, Brown, From Drop Container

Description

This is a pair of brown wool felt shoulder pads that I made from a square of original WWII drop container end-cap padding. The drop pad was in excellent condition and the sheets of padding inside were in perfect condition. This material is a looser weave than the grey pads I have for sale and not as sturdy. There is an underlying matrix of burlap cords; this is original and was done to increase the durability of the padding but these are better used for display. Field use is rough on these; it's why I believe you don't see these thick, brown pads past the opening days of D-Day in photo evidence. If you want some durable ones for field use check out my grey pads. They're still authentic and accurate but they're a dense wool felt and will last in the field
