USAAF B-17 Bomber  Damaged Nose
This is a nice reproduction of an original WW2 photograph showing US B-17 Flying Fortress bomber which has sustained significant damage, likely from heavy caliber flak or possbily a large caliber aircraft cannon.  The fact this plane made it back is a testament to the ruggedness of the big Boeing bird.  I read somewhere that the bombardier of this aircraft was blown out of the nose, but survived and ended the war as a POW in Germany.
Size is about 4" x 6".
