    Description

    WWII USMC P1944 Camouflage JACKET.
    Known as the “
    COAT, UTILITY,”
it was designed so that a Marine, bereft of a Cartridge Belt or a Haversack could “fight out of his pockets.”
    This exacting
    FACSIMILE/REPLICA
was manufactured as a ‘limited production’ item by Juan Gonzalez’s outstanding
    WWII IMPRESSIONS
of California approximately 25 years ago and has long been out of production — no longer available!!
This is not an inferior ASIAN knock-off.
This is sartorial WORKMANSHIP/ EXCELLENCE that matches (or EXCEEDS) wartime “Mil Spec” standards!!
    This
    “COAT, UTILITY, CAMOUFLAGE, REVERSIBLE”
is of comparable (if not SUPERIOR) quality to the camouflage uniforms manufactured during WWII for the the
    USMC
    exclusively by the
    MARIO G. MIRABELLI COMPANY
, INC. of Elizabeth, New Jersey using camouflage HBT fabric printed by:
    (1)
ROCK HILL PRINTING AND FINISHING COMPANY
    of Rock Hill, S.C.
    (2)
    ALLIED TEXTILE PRINTERS, INC.
    of Paterson, N.J.
    (3)
    J. W. VALENTINE COMPANY
    of New York.
This iconic splotch “frog skin” camouflage pattern was designed by John Cox, a “Civilian Camouflage Technician” of the Army’s Fort Belvoir (as noted in the
“Marine Corps Equipment Board Test Report #95”
    dated July 20, 1943.)
    Research by Alec Tulfoff,

USMC Combat Infantry Equipment of World War II,
    p.57.
